That generally happens to wannabe race cars... at some point someone will race them and/or wreck them. Those seat belts disturb me greatly... they look less safe than just using the shoulder belts.
PS: Where did the cage go if it's the same car?

no cage, just bolt in bracings, for stiffening not roll protection.
He say's he was rear ended, which would make one think no fault, but yeah, this is not exactly a surprising outcome to my proud community of ricer/wannabe racer types

He's lucky it was a rear ending and not a frontal crash with those belts. Ah, in his article he listed doing a cage as the future... must have just been a wish list item.

yeah, looks like certainly no cage ever existed.
And agreed, from all I've read mounting the shoulder harnesses should never be done that low for spine compression issues.

Yeah, at least they are (if they aren't knock offs) ASM belts.

I have a box of spare knobs and once tracked down a long-dead forum thread to buy an out-of-production Momo knob.
I dunno ... I have a really strange fetish for metal/leather OEM Honda knobs too.

mental note: don't let him get his creepy fetish hands on my ap1 s2000 knob

I assume he was already starting to part it out. lots of other parts from the feature article are missing too. so either parting or working on a new build.

hey box of spare knobs ay...? got something more winter friendly than my bare metal sitting about spare?

some of the parts might not have been engineered/adr'ed. so it was put back to "street form" for daily duties?

would be a likely guess, aussie police are pretty diligent on handing out fix it tickets for modified cars

I have a fetish for rare oem honda knobs too... Im on the lookout for the NSX knob next...

my family often asks when I am returning home to Brisbane, among other things, the fact that my own modified car would not be welcome in Auatralia is a good reason to stay in the US. Although... the lack of laws/enforcement here does lead to some scarily rusted out cars on the road

but think of the imports.......... or you could go home now and get the last of the australian FPVs and HSVs!

hmm ... I have a Momo Anatomic short leather knob but that uses (infuriating) set screws and a rubber cap instead of screwing directly on. And an dog-gnawed AP2 knob.

Those are mind-bogglingly expensive when new. Supposedly it clips into the stock RSX shift boot, but I don't know anybody with an RSX who actually bought one.

your talking this knob right? (left one)
Cause now that im looking, i think the one i have (previous pic) might actually be the same as the usdm NSX. Dangit honda, now i have no clue where my knob actually originated from.

Your 1st pic link's broken, but I'm guessing it looks like a Prelude SH leather knob with red stitching.
